Panic Island is set around powerful songwriting duo Arron Sans and Vinnie Shimia hailing from the North of England and South America this blends a unique mix of sound and attitude to form fresh Alt rock tracks. Backed by an explosive rhythm section concocted in the South of England; bassist, George Todd and Jorge Gill on drums.
The group deliver an immense energy when they perform live. Their ferociousness on stage is akin to bands such as 'Rage Against the Machine', 'Faith No More' or the 'Red Hot Chili Peppers'.
Born in York and raised in Plymouth, Arron grew up unsettled and with performance on the brain, emotive and passionate about everything which lead him towards song writing, he shows off his talents through the bands creative concepts and poetically cryptic lyrics. His performance is one of raw projection, driven by his passion and intensity.
Vinnie has been in love with the guitar since he was 13, he moved from Brazil to the UK to get away from the discipline of a traditional home and to pursue his aspirations in music. Intricate guitar arrangements and textures are crucial to his writing. With a slick live ability Vinnie performs with rock ‘n’ roll attitude and charisma.
Italian drummer Marco Mulatto has spent many years studying the drums and honing his craft. He plays with energy and a love for his instrument.
George Todd grew up listening to a wide range of guitar music, from classic Zeppelin to the latest ‘Chili Peppers, his influence is evident in his performance, like Cobain on a spring he draws the audience in with him and drives the band forward.
They met in Spain in 2012 during a show performed by ‘The Cult’ and instantly realized they shared the same passion for hi-energy performance, catchy songs and guitar hooks. Both set out to create a new Alternative Rock band inspired by guitar anthems, contemporary pop songs and the iconic power of Classic Rock.
“Panic Island is the place within us all that holds the deepest, darkest, emotions. It is filled with conflict between our dreams and personal demons. We are always running from this place, no one wants to be there, it is the catalyst that keeps us moving and creating. We cannot escape it and if we stand still for too long, it will consume us!” – Arron
Refreshingly honest, surprisingly unpretentious and yet damned right ballsy, welcome to Panic Island.
